GORIZIA
What you breathe in Gorizia is a veritable border atmosphere, that of a melting pot, of the Central European area, a town being the crossroads to three European cultures, namely Latin, Slave and Germanic.
During WW1, the town witnessed scathing clashes; above all, that is what it owes its fame to.
In 2004, in Gorizia, fell the last wall standing between Western and Eastern Europe. In the past, the town was really loved by the Hapsburg aristocracy because of its gardens; today, Gorizia’s historical, stately buildings house also many thematic museums, allowing visitors to get to know many an aspect of that so peculiar story of its own.
